About

Hi, I’m Siobhan.

I am here to help you help others.

Siobhan G. Armstrong

You heard right. My goal is to make sure you and your customers can reach your goals.

You know what you want to put out into the world. I help make it effective, engaging, and high-quality. You aren’t just selling any old thing, after all. My job is to ensure your audience looks to you as an expert in your field and a source they can rely on, thanks to the content I put out into the world on your behalf.

Good content is about quality and quantity. Your customers need to know who you are, what you can do for them, and make sure they understand what you are telling them. Whether you’re looking to create a website, run a blog, start an email marketing campaign, or send out printed materials, finding a writer who works quickly and produces high-quality work is essential to achieving your goals.

With all that in mind, I’d like to take a moment so you can get to know me.

Personal

I’ve always enjoyed writing, ever since I was little. I always thought I’d grow up to become a novelist, or at least publish a novel, but it took until declaring my major at CSULB to decide that I was actually going to find a practical use for my skills.

When I’m not writing or working on social media, I am known to travel, bake, and spend time with my two cats and one betta fish. On occasion, I am known to fold origami models. I also take photos for PretentiousPlants and Adventure.Hippo.Dan.Cowboy, my personal Instagram projects, which you can peek at here below.

Experience

As the copywriter at Proactive SEO Solutions, I was tasked with composing any and all of the written content for projects we created for clients. This included:

  • Full websites for new clients websites
  • Reworking duplicate content on sites created for clients by other companies
  • “SEO pages” to boost search rankings for targeted keywords
  • Updated content on older sites for improved style, flow, and information
  • Bi-weekly and monthly blog posts
  • Press releases
  • Facebook, Twitter, and other social media posts

My past projects have included creating a social media campaign for Norm the Hypnotist, (now retired). I helped him to stand out and get noticed by clients. Norm’s site consistently showed on the first page of search results for terms like “hypnosis.”

During an internship in 2014, I created a social media presence for O-Zell Soda, a non-profit aimed at fundraising for the Walt Disney Birthplace. My duties also included aiding in updating and improving existing websites owned by Super 78 Studios, composing emails, creating guidelines for phone conversations with customers, and running a contest to boost followers and awareness for the Walt Disney Birthplace Restoration Project.

Working for the Disneyland Resort gave me experience in effectively communicating with a wide range of audiences in various settings. I created training guides for Cast Members in the Opera House to help them better explain archival displays to Guests. I am the author of the Main Street Cinema Tour, a 20 minute exploration of the Mickey Mouse cartoons played in the park. And, as a Jungle Cruise skipper, I became fond of wordplay and puns.

Currently I take on freelance work and am hunting for a permanent position at an agency or a company that needs someone with my skills to help them stand out above the crowd.

Education

Graduating in August of 2012, I have a B.A. in English with a focus in creative writing. While in school, I studied a wide range of writing styles, including business writing, technical writing, creative non-fiction and journalism, as well as the fiction writing and academic styles.

I am an Adwords certified professional, so I can help you get your company’s message across to your customers using Google AdWords.

Flexibility

Copywriting requires learning quickly and wearing any number of masks, giving a unique voice to each project that matches a client’s needs. Switching between styles comes naturally to me. To stay relevant, it is also necessary to keep up-to-dare with the latest in search techniques, tools, and  platforms. I can not only capture your audience’s interest, but keep them engaged and coming back for more.

I am comfortable working alone or on a team, and keep my cool under pressure. I produce high-quality work quickly and can balance many projects at once, prioritizing my tasks to finish everything in an efficient manner. I can handle any environment, no matter how disruptive, and I can pick up skills and information quickly and efficiently.
